Voice of Baceprot Jadi Band Indonesia Pertama yang Tampil di Glastonbury
Band metal asal Garut, Voice of Baceprot (VoB) resmi akan tampil di Glastonbury Festival 2024, di Somerset, Inggris pada 26-30 Juni 2024. Glastonbury Festival ini merupakan salah satu festival musik bergengsi di dunia, dan VoB akan menjadi band Indonesia pertama yang tampil di festival musik tersebut.
“Sebagai wujud rasa syukur dan terima kasih, saat ini kami ingin berbagi kabar gembira bagi Baladceprot (sapaan penggemar VoB) dan semua pihak yang masih sudi menemani dan mempercayai. Glastonbury sebagai festival musik dan seni pertunjukan di padang hijau terbesar di dunia telah berkenan mengundang kami,” ungkap VoB, pada Selasa (30/04).
VoB akan tampil di Woodsies Main stage dan berbagi panggung bersama dengan musisi-musisi besar di dunia, seperti Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, LCD Soundsystem, hingga Shania Twain yang juga menjadi line-up di festival ini.
VoB juga mengungkapkan rassa senang dan bangganya karena dapat tampil di Festival Glastonbury. Selain itu, mereka mengaku tampilnya mereka di festival ini merupakan bentuk hubungan diplomatik yang baik antara Indonesia dan Kerajaan Inggris.
“Sebuah kebanggaan tersendiri menjadi musisi Indonesia pertama yang akan tampil di Glastonbury Festival setelah 54 tahun penyelenggaraannya. Sekaligus, bertepatan perayaan 75 tahun hubungan diplomatik Indonesia dengan Kerajaan Inggris,” tutur VoB.
