“The Grand Budapest Hotel” adalah kerjasama pertama kalinya Johnny Depp dan Wes Anderson.
Tahun ini Johnny Depp bener-bener nggak berniat beristirahat dari dunia akting. Aktor yang saat ini sedang syuting “The Lone Ranger” bersama Arnie Hammer ini udah menyatakan kalau ternyata dia akan memulai kerjasama dengan Wes Anderson. Sesuai dengan yang dilansir oleh Deadline.com, sutradara sekaligus penulis yang sedang naik namanya karena film “The Moonrise Kingdom” ini mengatakan kalau dia akan memulai sebuah proyek film baru berjudul “The Grand Budapest Hotel“.
Kerjasama antara Wes Anderson dengan Johnny Depp yang baru-baru ini muncul di Comic Con 2012 adalah yang pertama kalinya. Walaupun begitu masih belum diketahui karakter seperti apa yang akan dimainkan Johnny Depp atau siapa aktor/aktris lainnya yang akan mendampingi dirinya di film tersebut.
Film-film Johnny Depp sendiri lebih banyak dikenal sebagai hasil kerjasama antara dirinya dengan sutradara Tim Burton. Tim Burton sendiri ketika ditanya seputar kerjasamanya dalam delapan film bersama Johnny Depp menjawab dengan bercanda “I’ve moved on to dogs and little puppet characters—I’m moving up in the world!“
Masih belum ada konfirmasi yang lebih detail seputar “The Grand Budapest Hotel” sedangkan “The Lone Ranger” sendiri akan dirilis tanggal 3 Juli 2013.
