Tahun ini jadi tahun yang paling menyenangkan bagi para pecinta film animasi. Pasalnya banyak sekali film animasi bagus yang dirilis tahun ini. Setekah film Smurf: The Lost Village, di pekan pertama di bulan April ini hadir film animasi, The Boss Baby yang wajib kamu tonton. Begitu dirilis di Amerika Serikat pada 31 Maret 2017 lalu, film garapan DreamWorks Animation berhasil menggeser posisi Beauty and the Beast. Lalu, apa ya sebenarnya yang membuat film The Boss Baby wajib kamu tonton? Ini dia alasannya!
Diadaptasi dari karya Marla Frazee
Film The Boss Baby diadaptasi dari buku cerita bergambar karya Marla Frazee yang dirilis di tahun 2010 yang ceritanya begitu menarik dan nggak ngebosenin. Berawal dari cerita Tim Templeton (Miles Christopher Bakshi) bocah berusia 7 tahun sebagai anak tunggal yang sangat disayang kedua orang tuanya. Namun, kebahagiaannya nggak berlangsung lama karena kehadiran anggota baru, bayi laki-laki yang sangat menggemaskan bernama Theodore alias Boss Baby (Alec Baldwin).
Bukan bayi biasa
Tim menemukan fakta bahwa Boss Baby bukanlah bayi biasa. Selain bicaranya seperti orang dewasa, Boss Baby ternyata adalah seorang agen rahasia dari perusahaan bayi bernama Baby Corp. Baby Corp memiliki misi khusus untuk menjaga kelangsungan hidup seluruh bayi dari ancaman Pupy Co, sebuah perusahaan anak anjing yang memiliki misi lebih mencintai puppies ketimbang bayi.
Rating tertinggi di Box Office
Meskipun mendapatkan rating yang nggak memuaskan dari kritikus film, faktanya film Boss Baby menduduki puncak di Box Office di pekan perdana penayangannya. Para kritikus mengakui alurnya mudah ditebak, tapi kamu akan terlena saat menyaksikan aksi-aksi lucu dan menggemaskan dari Boss Baby dan teman-temannya.
Film keluarga
Film ini sangat menghibur untuk ditonton bersama keluarga karena sarat dengan pesan morah, plus ditambah dengan soundtrack lagu “Blackbird” milik The Beatles sangat menyatu dengan tema film The Boss Baby.
Pengisi suara yang baik
Sebagai pengisi suara The Baby Boss, Alec Baldwin punya banyak daya tarik karena mampu memerankan dengan baik karakter baby yang sok bossy. Sementara itu, Jimmy Kimmel juga sangat memerankan dengan baik karakter Dad. Begitu pula dengan Lisa Kudrow yang sukses mengisi suara sebagai Mom. Aktor pemeran Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire juga nggak ketinggalan menyumbangkan suara sebagai Tim dewasa sekaligus narator di film The Boss Baby.
