Sesuai dengan namanya, paket ekspansi ini memperkenalkan fitur-fitur baru yang berfokus pada manajemen properti, dengan nuansa Asia Tenggara. Dalam permainan ini, pemain dapat memilih peran, baik sebagai pemilik rumah atau penyewa.

Berlokasi di negara tropis bernama ‘Tomarang,’ setiap elemen dalam permainan sepenuhnya relevan dengan pinggiran kota Asia Tenggara, seperti Indonesia.

Salah satu yang menjadi sorotan adalah munculnya toilet jongkok, yang umumnya hanya ditemukan di Indonesia. Menurut sumber, edisi The Sims 4 ini membawa nuansa baru dengan drama perumahan.
