Eksplorasi Album Steve Aoki “HiROQUEST: Genesis” Sampai ke Trading Card Game
Anak Trax, baru-baru ini DJ sekaligus produser asal Amerika Serikat, Steve Aoki ngerilis album terbaru yang berjudul “HiROQUEST”.
Berbeda dengan karya Aoki sebelumnya, Steve Aoki pengen eksplor lebih jauh lewat album terbarunya ini. Terbukti doi sampai masuk ke ranah trading card game lho! Aoki menciptakan “dunia” dengan trading card game bernama MetaZoo dan menggabungkannya dengan kisah yang doi jelasin lewat musik.
Ide kreatif dari Steve Aoki enggak bisa terlepas dari masa sulit pandemi. Berkat lika-liku pandemi beberapa tahun terakhir membuat Aoki mengeksplorasi sisi kreatifnya lebih luas dan lebih jauh. Album HiROQUEST: Genesis jadi bukti kalau doi bisa keluar dari zona nyaman.
Lewat album tersebut juga banyak nampilin kolaborasi dengan sejumlah musisi lain seperti Taking Back Sunday, Kane Brown, PnB Rock, Georgia Ku, Bryce Vine, Santa Fe Klan, Lil Xan, Goody Grace, dan banyak lagi.

Sebagai pembuka, Aoki ngerilis single kolaborasi bareng MOD SUN dan Global Dan, berjudul Movie Star. Single ini dirilis bersama sebuah video musik yang nampilin Aoki mengubah sebuah sore hari di sebuah SMA di California Selatan menjadi pesta dansa impromptu.
“Ini adalah lagu yang seru, yang membawa kamu kembali menjadi anak SMA dengan begitu banyak aspirasi. Ini adalah sesuatu yang dekat bagi banyak anak muda. MOD SUN dan Global Dan juga punya kepribadian seperti itu, akhirnya lagu ini jadi seru,” kata Aoki, Jumat (16/9/22).
