Setelah APAN Star Awards 2016 terselenggara, Jumat, 7 Oktober 2016, Korea Drama Awards 2016 juga telah mengumumkan pemenang-pemenangnya. Terselenggara di Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center, drama-drama hits seperti Descendants Of The Sun, Cinderella And Four Knights, My Daughter, Geum Sa Wol, Happy Home, dan Mirror Of The Witch ‘bertarung’ untuk mendapatkan penghargaan malam itu.
Channel tv seperti KBS berhasil membawa pulang 3 penghargaan untuk Best Drama, Best Actor Excellence, dan Best Couple, sedangkan tvN membawa pulang 2 penghargaan untuk Best Actor Top Excellence dan Global Star.
Kim So Yeon berhasil meraih Grand Excellence Award (Daesang) lewat perannya dalam Happy Home, dengan mengalahkan pesaing-pesaing berat seperti Song Joong Ki, Kim Rae Won, dan Park Shin Yang. Hal ini sangat mengharukan untuk Kim So Yeon karena ini pertama kalinya ia mendapatkan Daesang selama 22 tahun berkarir. Cukhae, onnie!
